下痢止めの薬（Antidiarrheal medicine）

腸の運動を強力におさえ、また腸管での水分の吸収を増やします。そのような作用により、強い下痢止め効果を発揮します。

This medicine controls and strengthens the bowel movements, as well as increasing the water absorption of the intestinal track. Because of this, it exerts a strong effect against diarrhea.

1.  【診察で】持病やアレルギーのある人は医師に伝えておきましょう。
   1. During examination: Please tell your doctor if you have any chronic diseases or allergies.
2. 【注意する人】O157や赤痢菌などによる重い出血性大腸炎には用いません。下痢を止めると、かえって治りが悪くなるおそれがあるためです。その他の感染性下痢症や潰瘍性大腸炎に対しても原則禁忌です。
   1. Warning/Contraindications: People with grave hemorrhagic colitis caused by O157 or shigella must not use this medicine. In these cases stopping the diarrhea could worsen the symptoms in turn. Aside from that, people with cases of infectious diarrhea or ulcerative colitis must not take this medication.
3. 【用法】：通常、成人に１日１～２mgを１～２回に分割経口服用する。なお、症状により適宜増減する。
   1. Usage: A typical dose for adults consists of taking orally 1 or 2 mg in 1 or 2 times per day. Furthermore, the dose may be increased depending on the symptoms.
4. 【食生活】：眠気やめまいを起こすことがあります。車の運転など危険な作業は控えてください。
   1. Diet: It may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Please abstain from operating vehicles or heavy machinery.
5. 【副作用】多めの量を長く飲み続けると、ひどい便秘を起こすことがあります。とくに、小さい子供や高齢の人は十分注意しましょう。
   1. Secondary effects: If taken in high quantities over a long time, it can cause severe constipation. Take special caution in cases of small children or people of old age.
